Cleaner dispatch — the deep dive

The next clean startswhen checkout does.

Roostr connects the gap between stays to the property’s cleaner handoff, keeps the Automatic or Manual decision visible, and checks the completion photos before the next guest arrives. Here is the turnover flow from departure to ready-to-host.

Turnover detection

A checkout is a transition, not just a timestamp.

The dispatch starts with the space between two stays. Roostr sees the checkout and next arrival as one turnover window, then applies the optional lead-time gate before the cleaner handoff moves forward.

01

Checkout creates the window

Roostr watches the transition between stays and ties the turnover to the gap before the next arrival. The optional lead-time gate keeps the dispatch inside the timing rule you set, so a short turnaround and a long gap can follow the right operating rhythm.

02

The property gets its cleaner handoff

The property-level cleaner contact receives the assignment and the relevant property brief when that contact is usable. Each home can keep its own cleaner details and quirks instead of relying on a single generic roster.

03

Completion photos close the loop

The cleaner uploads completion photos through the existing verification flow. Roostr records the handoff as verified or needs attention before the next arrival, leaving the host with a concrete next step when the clean is incomplete.

The gap between stays is the operating signal: dispatch follows the turnover window, not a generic daily reminder.

Cleaner dispatch

One property brief. Two deliberate ways to send it.

Cleaner contacts belong to each property, so the handoff can reflect how that home actually runs. Automatic sends when the configured contact is usable; Manual stages a host-editable draft when you want to look first.

Assignment sent

Automatic

When the configured property contact is usable, the assignment goes out as part of the turnover flow. The host does not have to retype the same handoff for every stay.

Draft staged

Manual

When the host wants a final check, Roostr stages an editable dispatch draft. The host can review the details, adjust the handoff, and decide what happens next.

Property-level context

The host chooses the cleaner details and the property-specific quirks. Roostr carries that context into the dispatch instead of pretending every home turns over the same way.

Photo verification

A clean is not complete until the handoff has proof.

Completion photos give the turnover a visible finish line. The existing upload and verification flow records whether the handoff is verified or needs attention, so an incomplete clean does not quietly disappear before the next arrival.

Host visibility

Ready to review in the activity view

Photo verification is a clear handoff state—not a promise of automatic image intelligence. If the record needs attention, the host sees that before the guest does.

Host completion view

You can see the state without chasing the thread.

The activity and completion view keeps the dispatch state visible from the first assignment through the final photo handoff. Verified stays ready to move on; an incomplete or errored state stays visible for review and action.
